Hi Team!I had this guest come to one of our shows during the weekend of 01/16. Their party seemed to be fine after the show, even though it definitely wasn't a great experience, which is something I already brought up.Sadly it seems like my attempt to make up for their inconveniences did not suffice, which I apologize for.Would it be possible to give me a hand to deal with this situation?Thank you.---------- Forwarded message ---------

For an event that I paid 400 dollars for, and it was ruined, why would 25 percent off of that suffice? I do not want a 25% off coupon to an experience that I may or may not do again, and considering this response, I most likely won’t. I do however want some sort of monetary amount that would cover the low quality event and dissatisfaction. That is honestly the most disrespectful reply I could have expected. The entire event was a disaster and that “discount” that you offered is pitiful, especially considering Forknfilm gives 50 percent off numerous times. To: <santiago@forknfilm.com>Good Evening,
Thank you again for hosting the Beauty and the Beast Fork n Film experience on January 18th and for providing your email for feedback. I wanted to follow up with a candid and thoughtful summary of our experience.
To begin on a positive note, the Fork n Film concept is exceptional. Pairing a film with thoughtfully curated dishes that mirror what’s happening on screen creates a truly immersive and memorable idea. The servers were silent professionals, and you were an engaging and organized host. It’s very clear that a great deal of effort and care goes into executing these events.
However, given the $400 price point, we reasonably expected a premium, immersive experience from start to finish. Unfortunately, the venue fell far short of that expectation. Hosting this event in a sports bar was simply not appropriate for what was marketed as an intimate cinematic dining experience. While I fully understand that venue logistics can be challenging as I’ve planned many events myself, this environment was fundamentally incompatible with the nature of the event, and this was not something that should have come as a surprise.
The level of background noise throughout the entire movie was extremely disruptive. Even with the provided noise-canceling headphones, the yelling, cheering, and repeated sounds of golf balls being hit made it difficult to remain immersed in the film. This distraction persisted for the entirety of the showing.
This was especially disappointing because we traveled to NYC specifically for this event and even extended our stay by an additional night due to an accidental booking error, something we were happy to do because we were genuinely excited. We attended in celebration of my wife’s birthday and expected to be impressed and transported by the experience. Unfortunately, the venue prevented that from happening.
Because the environment so significantly detracted from the core purpose of the event, I do believe compensation is warranted. The experience did not align with the premium pricing, the marketing, or the expectations set for attendees.
At the beginning of the showing, guests were encouraged to take photos, videos, and share their experience on social media. If I were to share our honest experience publicly, it would likely discourage others from attending. I have chosen not to do so because I genuinely believe in the Fork n Film concept and want to see it succeed. You are very close to something special, and I can easily envision this becoming a major brand, but unfortunately, that potential was not realized at this particular showing.
On a positive note, the food was outstanding. Curating a menu that is both faithful to what’s on screen and satisfying as a full meal is no small task, and you executed it beautifully. My wife’s favorite movie is Beauty and the Beast, and even she commented on how well the menu was done. The only minor note we had was Gaston’s drink, which felt like it had a few too many competing flavors, removing the Kahlua might make it better.
Thank you for taking the time to read this feedback. I hope you’ll receive it in the constructive spirit it’s intended. I would genuinely like to attend a Fork n Film event again in the future under circumstances that better reflect the quality of your concept and execution

Hi Isaiah,
Thank you for reaching out again and for being so open with your feedback. I truly appreciate the time and immense detail you put into your initial message; it is clear how much you value the concept, and having those specific insights from someone who understands event planning is incredibly helpful for us.
Before going further, I also want to sincerely thank you for your service to our country. We have a deep respect for our military members and truly appreciate you choosing to spend your wife's birthday with us.
I want to validate the points you raised regarding the venue. We hear you loud and clear that the background noise at the sports bar detracted from the cinematic immersion you expected for such a special occasion. We are a pop-up style experience, which means we are constantly adapting to different spaces, and we take your feedback very seriously. Please be assured that your comments have been noted by our leadership team as we evaluate our future hosting locations in NYC to ensure they better align with the premium nature of the event.
Because the full multi-course menu was served and the cinematic presentation was provided as scheduled, we are unable to offer a monetary refund. We truly believe in the quality of the food and service our team worked hard to deliver, and we are so happy to hear that your wife enjoyed the menu.
Our goal with the 25% discount was to provide a way for you to join us again at a venue that more accurately reflects the high standards we strive for. We truly value your support and would love the opportunity to host you again under better circumstances. Please do not hesitate to touch base if you have any trouble redeeming your code and thank you again for your understanding!Warm regards,SamCustomer SupportFork n' FilmOn Wed, Jan 28, 2026 at 1:20 PM Isaiah Legare <isaiahlegare8@gmail.com> wrote:Good Afternoon,I was instructed to forward this email thread to you guys so that you may be able to assist me further.---------- Forwarded message ---------

Re: Jan 18 Showing
Good evening,
Thank you for the detailed response and for acknowledging my concerns.
I want to be clear that my feedback was not about whether food was technically served or whether a screen was technically present. It was about the overall experience not aligning with what was marketed, advertised, and priced as a premium cinematic dining event. The setting, background noise, and lack of immersion fundamentally changed the nature of what was sold to us.
While I understand your position regarding refunds, I do not agree that providing all courses automatically means the experience was delivered as promised. The environment is a core component of a cinematic experience, and that portion was materially deficient. Had we known in advance that the event would take place inside a loud sports bar with active televisions and competing audio, we would not have purchased tickets.
A 25% discount toward a future visit places the burden on me to spend additional money in order to receive what I already paid for once. That does not feel like an equitable resolution.
I am not seeking anything unreasonable, but I am asking for a resolution that more accurately reflects the gap between what was marketed and what was delivered. I believe a partial refund or a full comped experience would be a more appropriate way to address this situation.I appreciate your time and look forward to your response.
Respectfully,

Re: Jan 18 Showing
Hi Isaiah,
Thank you for your thoughtful reply. I truly hear what you are saying, and I appreciate you being so clear about why the environment felt like such a significant departure from the experience we marketed. You make a very fair point that the atmosphere is a core component of what makes our events special.
I would love to make this right in a way that feels more equitable to you. While we are unable to process a cash refund, I completely understand your hesitation to spend more to get the experience you originally wanted.
To help bridge that gap, I have attached a credit to this email worth the full value of two General Admission tickets. This way, you and your wife can join us at a future location of your choice entirely on us. We would truly love the chance to host you again in a setting that fully reflects the quality and immersion of our concept.
Your new code listed below, and they can be used for any upcoming show. We are so grateful for your patience and for the constructive way you have shared your perspective with us.Warm regards,SamOn Wed, Jan 28, 2026 at 7:01 PM Isaiah Legare <isaiahlegare8@gmail.com> wrote:Good evening,

To: Santiago Triana <santiago@forknfilm.com>Good Afternoon Santiago,I am afraid that 25% is not enough compensation. I am shocked and disturbed if this is how you carry business and treat patrons that are members of the U.S. military. I fear I was too candid and not stern enough with my compensation request. And if you cannot assist any further, I ask that you provide me with a point of contact that can help me.On Mon, Jan 26, 2026 at 09:31 Santiago Triana <santiago@forknfilm.com> wrote:Good afternoon Isaiah!Thank you so much for your email and detailed rundown of your experience.Because you took your time to send us your thoughts and constructive feedback, we would like to offer you a 25% off for a future experience. Subject: Jan 18 Showing
