Re: Formal Refund Demand – Outstanding Fork n’ Film Refunds

    Dear Fork n’ Film Team,

I am following up again regarding my outstanding refunds for my Gold Membership and the additional event ticket I purchased.

I was notified by Fork n’ Film on July 31, 2026 that the San Francisco events had been canceled and that my refund request had already been logged. Your email stated that I would receive confirmation and a refund receipt once the refund was finalized.

I have still not received either refund.

I understand that refunds may have been delayed due to your operational changes; however, this has now gone well beyond a reasonable processing period.

In addition, California Business & Professions Code § 22507(a) provides that the ticket price of a canceled event must be fully refunded to the purchaser by the ticket seller within 30 calendar days of the cancellation. The California Attorney General has also specifically confirmed this requirement for canceled events.

Your own published refund policy also states that when an event is canceled, ticket holders will be offered a full refund or credit.

    I am therefore formally requesting:

    1. A full refund of my separately purchased event ticket; and
    2. A full refund of my Gold Membership, which I purchased based on the membership benefits and the ability to attend Fork n’ Film events, including in San Francisco.

Please process both refunds to my original method of payment and provide written confirmation of the refund amounts and processing date.

Please complete the refunds within 10 calendar days of this email.

If I do not receive the refunds or a substantive response within that timeframe, I will consider pursuing the matter through California small claims court and filing a consumer complaint with the California Attorney General’s Office, in addition to pursuing any other remedies available to me. California courts specifically provide for small claims actions against businesses for money owed, and a formal demand for payment is part of the process.

I would prefer to resolve this directly and without further action, but given the length of time these refunds have remained outstanding, I need this matter resolved promptly.

Please confirm in writing when both refunds have been processed.

    Thank you,
    Nicole
